Miranda an American restaurant entrepreneur has joined Ssamba Foundation as a volunteer on her trip to Uganda, where she will facilitate various community development programs meant to empower and uplift the rural people of Kyampisi.
For Miranda this trip represents her third visit to the continent of Africa and the first in 20yrs and presents a unique opportunity to share her love for the people.
In Uganda, Miranda will work closely with Ssamba Foundation, Founder and Executive Chairman Isaac. Miranda has been communicating with Mr. Ssamba and together will develop life changing programs and approaches which will include provision of food relief to needy families and ground breaking for the community resource centre.
“I’ve been to Kenya and Tanzania. One was a very nice safari/Kilimanjaro climb and the other was a 1200mile historical trek across Tanzania. I prefer the latter where we traveled through small rural villages and experienced intimate connection with local communities. I’ve wanted to return ever since. I’ve worked as a restaurant entrepreneur for 15 years/founded 5 independent restaurants and understand what it means to do whatever it takes to overcome challenges. My heart was touched by Africa in a way that I cannot explain and I would love an opportunity to reciprocate by giving my time/service where needed”- Miranda commented on her motivation.
We welcome you to the Pearl of Africa Ms. Miranda.
Thank You!
