Community Outreach Volunteer Project

Frequently Asked Questions

What percentage of my donation goes to the projects supported by Ssamba Foundation?

100% of donations to Ssamba Foundation go towards the supported projects/programs run and managed by the organization.

Who covers the operating costs of the Ssamba Foundation?

The operating costs of the organization are covered by a series of income generating ventures owned or co-owned by the foundation. These includes a guest-house, tours and safari company, secretarial services, events program, farm projects and general fund donations through volunteer donations.  This means every dollar donated to the Ssamba Foundation go to the intended project/program.

How can I be an anonymous donor?

Let us know your request to remain anonymous and we will respect your request.

How much tax deductions do I qualify for when I make a donation?

At the moment we are a locally run sustainable development organization in Uganda, without charity status abroad. (We are looking for well-wishers to help us get registered in the North America and Europe). At the moment all outright cash donations given by individuals or corporations to Ssamba Foundation are not tax-deductible.

Will I receive a tax deductible receipt for my donation?

No! However, a confirmation receipt can be sent to you for your personal records.

Does Ssamba Foundation sell, rent or trade donor information (eg. mailing and email addresses and phone numbers) to other agencies?

The privacy of our donors is very important to us and we do not share or sell this information.
