Isaac Ssamba’s Experiences

I am living large and taking charge ;), if time is money I am running out of time. Take me as I am, or watch me as I go. I live in a world of fantasy, so keep your reality away from me! I can resist everything except temptation! I’m not immature…I just know how to have fun!

I am old enough to know better – but young enough to still do it anyway! I don’t look back – Unless there’s a good view! I’m slow to trust, but quick to love. I wish too hard and I give too much. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I promise I’m worth it! I am also an athletic because I surf the net.

Strangers think I’m quiet. Friends think I’m outgoing. My best friend thinks I’m insane. Love me when I least deserve it because that’s when I really need it. Even though I’m a clean person, sometimes I enjoy a messy lifestyle! I believe what we do flows from who we are.

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. If I say “The other day” it can mean any time up to a year ago. Admit it. Life would be so boring without me! I am the one your mother warned you about. Welcoming you to my world!! Wanna link up?!, PM me for a good laugh, and hearty chat and lets hook up!

On this page you will get into my life experiences through travel and work. I will be sharing my personal views, ideas, rants and reviews.

Why I love Community Based Tourism

Community-based tourism is a type of tourism where local communities invite tourists into their communities, giving them insight into their culture, attractions and daily lives. It is a form of sustainable tourism that allows travellers to connect closely to the local community they visit. Travellers are able to experience the diversity and customs of another ...

Waking Up in the Wild

Rwonyo Guesthouse Lake Mburo: Waking up in the wild is something extra ordinary and beautiful. Sounds of wild animals, birds singing and seeing the local residents going on about their way of life. Its extremely interactive, educational, exhilarating and an exclusive opportunity to be up close and personal with the wildlife. Sleeping in the wild ...
Getting to West Nile Uganda

Getting To and Around The West Nile (Arua/Yumbe)

There are so many options in which you can get to the west Nile. Pakwach Bridge is the main gateway to West Nile sub-region and beyond, with alternative routes being through Adjumani using a ferry and Wanseko in Buliisa District also via a ferry. A small volume of passengers pass through Obongi also using ferry ...
Road Trips

Why I am Addicted To Roadtrips

Road Trips Make Me Lose My Mind (in a good way). There’s something about the idea of a road trip that makes many people, including myself, go nuts from intense excitement. Just the thought of a road trip triggers such giddiness and ecstasy that I immediately start dreaming of all kinds of magical road trip ...
Isaac Ssamba Mama Africa

Falling in Love with Western Uganda

My very first trip to western Uganda 10 years ago led me to this humble woman’s home in Bushenyi. “Maama Afrika” (as she is popularly known) hosted us, slaughtered a goat for us and lots of chicken (my first time eating a whole chicken alone). I got to know Mama Afrika through her daughter Prima ...
Kibibi Town

Kibibi! Town With No Lodge or Hotel

Kibibi Town, one of the major business centers in Butambala district is so far the only town I have been to in Uganda without accommodation facilities for travelers (no lodge, no hotel) just nothing!!! I was surprised, because even smaller towns and trading centres have at least one “hotel” or lodge for travelers but in Kibibi, there ...
