Our Supported Projects, Volunteering Projects
Ssamba Foundation’s Sports development volunteer project collaborates with local communities to promote healthy lifestyles amongst local children and youth through teaching basic skills and tactics of football (soccer), volleyball, swimming and other sports. Given the lack of adequate recreational opportunities available to kids in the villages, our programs seek to provide at-risk children and youth with a safe environment where they can practice these activities in order to make productive use of free time.   In addition, we emphasize important core values like mutual respect, trust, fair-play and self-esteem as well as sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. Schools Kitchen Gardens Project

Ssamba Foundation's schools kitchen gardens project supports schools to improve their health and wellbeing through edible gardening and healthy eating activities. Schools kitchen gardens are a wonderful way to use the school yard as a classroom.  Feeding the increasing number of children attending our local schools and those who just find their way to the schools is overwhelming to school administrators. Coupled with the pandemic which has devastated the economy in Uganda, the challenge will be bigger than before. Ssamba Foundation is looking at empowering local schools through our the Schools Kitchen Gardens project.
