Ssamba Foundation is a registered non-profit community development organization in Uganda founded by Rtn. Isaac Ssamba. Operating in Mukono district, we manage a wide range of sustainable development and humanitarian projects since 2006.
Ssamba Foundation provides long-term sustainable solutions to problems in rural Uganda which are mainly caused by poverty. Poverty degrades the societal status of the people, gives birth to many social problems, and puts the poor people in a disadvantaged position.
Together with the communities we serve we have identified key areas where change needs to have a positive impact if poverty is to become a challenge of the past. These include: Water, Education, Agriculture, Social-Economic & Health.
Ssamba Foundation which designs and conducts programs which contribute to the welfare and social productivity of disadvantaged individuals and communities with an emphasis on children, youth and women.
Our development philosophy is that the communities need to tackle the problems themselves; we want to give a hand up, not a hand out. Hand ups create self-respect; self-belief and the results are infectious.
Ssamba Foundation addresses some of the most pervasive problems in rural Uganda, including poor healthcare systems, hunger, poor education system, access to clean drinking water, environment degradation and extreme poverty.
Mission: Providing resources to achieve sustainable development in under-resourced areas through effective community education and development of projects.
Vision: Self-sustaining individuals and communities free from extreme poverty.
