The Ssamba Foundation Centre is a community learning and development hub and the home of Ssamba Foundation. Located in Kyampisi, Mukono District, Uganda, it brings together the Foundation’s programs, community initiatives, practical skills training, meetings, workshops and development activities.
It provides a space where children, young people, women, families, community groups and development partners can come together to learn, share knowledge, develop skills and explore opportunities for positive change.

Through its programs, community outreaches and shared facilities, the Centre seeks to turn ideas into practical action and contribute to stronger, more resilient and self-reliant communities.
More than a physical location, the Centre represents a vision of a community where people have access to knowledge, practical skills, opportunities and essential support to build better futures.

THE VISION BEHIND THE CENTRE
The vision of establishing the Ssamba Foundation Centre was championed by the Foundation’s founder, Rtn. Isaac Ssamba, out of a belief that sustainable community development requires more than individual projects and occasional interventions.
He envisioned a permanent community-based place where people could come to learn, develop practical skills, explore opportunities, access support and participate in activities that contribute to their own development.

The idea was to create a home for the Foundation’s work: a place where programs could be coordinated, practical learning could take place, partnerships could grow and community initiatives could be developed over time.
SSAMBA FOUNDATION CENTRE ACTIVITIES
The Ssamba Foundation Centre provides the foundation for the organization’s programs and initiatives. It brings together practical learning, skills development, community engagement and activities designed to improve livelihoods. Most of all our initiatives take place at the centre.

COMMUNITY FACILITIES AND SHARED SPACES
The Ssamba Foundation Centre is designed to provide more than a base for the Foundation’s programs. It also offers shared spaces where people can meet, exchange ideas, acquire knowledge, build relationships and participate in activities that strengthen community development.
Community Meeting, Training Hall and Conference Centre: The Centre includes a community meeting and training hall that serves as a space for learning, collaboration and organized community activities.

Meeting Gardens and Outdoor Grounds: The Centre also has outdoor gardens and grounds that provide a welcoming environment for meetings, gatherings and community events.
FUTURE PROJECTS
The Ssamba Foundation Centre is envisioned as a growing community development hub. The current initiatives represent important foundations, but the long-term vision goes further. The following are among the major planned developments:

Establishment of a Nursery School: The Foundation envisions establishing a nursery school to provide young children with a supportive environment for early childhood learning and development.
Establishment of a Primary School: The long-term plan includes developing a primary school that will provide children with access to quality foundational education.

Establishment of a Secondary School: Looking further ahead, the Foundation plans to establish a secondary school as part of its commitment to expanding educational opportunities for young people.
Establishment of a Community Clinic: Access to healthcare is an important part of the Foundation’s long-term community development vision. The proposed clinic will aim to bring essential health services closer to the people and contribute to improved community health and wellbeing.
