At Ssamba Foundation, we believe that empowering women is essential to building stronger families and more sustainable communities.
Our Women Empowerment Program supports women and girls to acquire practical vocational skills, develop entrepreneurial abilities, improve financial knowledge and create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

Through hands-on training, mentorship, business development and community participation, we aim to equip women with the knowledge, confidence and resources to become economically active, self-reliant and active contributors to household and community development.
OUR FLAGSHIP PROJECT
Kyampisi Women Empowerment Project
The Kyampisi Women Empowerment Project is a practical skills development and livelihood initiative designed to equip women with marketable skills and the knowledge needed to start, manage and grow income-generating activities.

The project brings together vocational training, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and personal development. Women are encouraged not only to learn a skill, but also to understand how to turn that skill into a product, service or viable small business.
Our approach recognizes that lasting economic empowerment requires more than training alone. Women also need business knowledge, financial management skills, confidence, mentorship and access to opportunities.

CORE TRAINING AND ACTIVITIES
Tailoring and Garment Designing:ย Practical training in sewing, garment construction, clothing alterations and fashion design. Participants develop skills to make clothing and other fabric products for personal use, customers and potential business opportunities.
Hairdressing and Beauty Skills: Practical training to help women develop skills in hair care, styling and beauty services that can provide opportunities for self-employment and small business development.

Crocheting, Knitting and Weaving: Creative skills training that enables women to transform locally available materials and textiles into useful, attractive and marketable products.
Bakery and Culinary Skills: Practical food preparation and production training that introduces women to opportunities in baking, catering, food processing and small food businesses.

Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship: Vocational skills become more valuable when women understand how to turn them into sustainable businesses. We therefore integrate entrepreneurship and small business management into the program.
Financial Literacy and Money Management: We help women develop the financial knowledge and confidence needed to manage personal finances, make informed decisions and strengthen their economic independence.
