A trip to Uganda can be much more than volunteering. It can also be an opportunity to discover breathtaking landscapes, encounter remarkable wildlife and experience the country’s rich cultural heritage. A Uganda volunteer safari allows international visitors to combine meaningful community participation with unforgettable travel experiences.
Whether you are visiting Uganda for one week or several months, consider setting aside time to explore the country beyond your volunteer activities.

Volunteer, Discover and Experience Uganda
Through the Ssamba Foundation’s Community Volunteer Program, participants engage in ongoing community development activities in Kyampisi, Mukono District. Depending on current projects, volunteers may support agriculture, education activities, women’s empowerment, public health initiatives, construction support and other community activities.
Outside their volunteering schedule, participants can explore Uganda’s attractions and learn more about its people, traditions and natural environment.

Organize Your Safari with Ssamba Foundation
Ssamba Foundation can help volunteers explore affordable safari and tour arrangements during their stay. Options may include one-day excursions, weekend trips, multi-day wildlife safaris and customized group experiences.
Safari activities are optional and normally paid for separately from the volunteer program fee. Costs, transport, accommodation, park fees and other inclusions should be confirmed before booking. Activities such as gorilla and chimpanzee trekking require official permits and are subject to availability.
Importantly, any profit Ssamba Foundation makes from arranging these tours is reinvested into the Centre and community development activities.

Make Your Uganda Experience Count
Don’t just volunteer in Uganda; take time to discover the country. Enjoy its wildlife, meet its people, explore its culture and create lasting memories.
You experience Uganda. The Centre benefits. Communities gain from continued investment in development.
